The First Step Act allows many eligible federal inmates to earn time credits by successfully participating in approved
programs, classes, work assignments, and productive activities while incarcerated.
These earned time credits may help increase eligibility for placement in a halfway house, home confinement, or other
release opportunities depending on the individual situation and Bureau of Prisons eligibility requirements.
